10 (totally doable) Resolutions for the New Year

Need some inspo to get you on the right track for 2019? A motivational playlist, perhaps? Get ready to take some baby steps, we've got ya covered with these truly inspiring (and very easy) New Year's resolutions.

1.  More multitasking.
Try doing yoga poses or bicep curls while you binge Netflix shows to make yourself feel less guilty about watching TV for 8 hours straight.

2. Put the phone down! For like, an hour or something.
Look, we have little to no qualms with technology (well like some Terminator-esque ones, but we run an online store so we're willing to deal with robot overlords in like 200 years) and we really dislike when people rant about it ruining society/turning people into zombies, BUT unplugging every once in awhile can be a good thing. Try to hit the beach or go for a walk and maybe not check your phone for like an hour or two if you can, your anxiety will thank you (we told you they would be baby steps).

3. More friend time.
Maybe you guys don't have to be reminded about this, but sometimes we get a bit wrapped up in boys (or girls or whatever) and forget how nice it is to put on some cozy clothes (or metallic mini skirts and cropped sweaters if you would prefer), drink some wine and eat some pizza with the squad.
4. Less meat, more greens.
While we are on the subject of pizza, our next goal is to eat more greens. This can be accomplished by: 1. drinking green juice, 2. eating spinach or, if that's not your style, 3. putting kale on your pizza. You know, for the environment.

5. More books!
Maybe you already read a ton, or maybe you haven't picked up a book in a few years but reading is always a good idea and can help you calm down when you're feeling stressed or anxious. We are total Goodreads nerds and definitely recommend it to keep yourself motivated and to help you find good books that interest you! Or if you're feeling super motivated you can also do an IRL book club (bonus points for making new friends).

6. Less stress/more lists.
If you ever feel overwhelmed, even by the simplest things, making a list can make it all seem a little less daunting. The more you write down, the more you can cross off, and the better (and more accomplished) you'll feel. We're also big fans of bullet journaling!

7. More dogs (or cats, whatever).

We don't really have any legitimate reasoning for this other than them being really cute and furry and making everything generally better. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  If you don't have any pets of your own, you can also look into volunteering at a local shelter.

8. More squats.

While exercise in generally is good for many reasons, we are going to be focusing on our squats because butts are important and also you can do them while you eat pizza or watch TV (there's that multitasking!) which is always a plus.

9. Know your worth!
Whether it's in relationships, freelancing or your 9-5 job, know your worth and don't let people take advantage. Take really cool photos? Make really cool art? Photoshop expert? Start charging $$$.

10. More self care!
Okay, we know, this list is pretty much all self care (because we care about you! ) but we just wanted to add one more reminder. A lot of people always talk about the hustle, but you can't forget to take care of yourself. Never be afraid of a mani/pedi or face masque break. You deserve it.

If that's not enough great advice to get you going, check out our girl power-packed playlist we made to kick the year off right. Look out 2019, we're coming for ya.
